Before Christmas Al had the painstaking job of taking all the flags down and getting them washed and cleaned, a job that is done at least once a year.
Hannah, who is learning some of the unseen jobs done at the club, had the pleasure of going up and the ladder and taking all 65 flags down. Thank you to Irene who kindly took home and washed half of the flags, with Al taking home the other half. The next stage was putting them back up, which Al was able to do over the course of a week.
23rd December and Christmas Eve morning saw Al and Hannah clean the carpet, a task completed at least twice a year. As far as we are aware we are the only known club that washes the carpets on a regular basis. Using a RugDoctor all of the floor, vault and rugs used in the changing room reception and baby gym were washed and cleaned ready for the new year.
With so many adults and children using all aspects of the gym, we try to keep it as clean as we possibly can and smelling as best as it could.
The next time all the carpets and rugs will be cleaned will be at Easter.
